BLESSINGS |

“It is very heartening to see playing Igino Brunori - Saxophone and Virginia Nicoli - Silver flute in Dhrupad Ang.
They have learned the nuances of Dhrupad music with much dedication and attention. They have beautifully explored the depth of Dhrupad music in to saxophone and silver flute, keeping the fragrance and nature of their instrument.
The innovation comes from the music and not from the instruments. This "Samvad" has brought a new dimension to both Dhrupad music and their instruments. They have adopted the proper system of Dhrupad music and subtle sur in their raga rendition , which is the core of Dhrupad music.
The understanding between "two" players is so wonderful that they create "oneness" in their music.
They also break this conventional thought that these western instrument can not play our music especially dhrupad.
Their continuous and focused learning and practice in gurukul Dhrupad Sansthan Bhopal have brought them to a very good level of musicianship and we are glad that they have started giving performance with us also.
We wish them all success and hope very much that they will reach to the new heights of Dhrupad Music.”
